WHO
WE ARE
HOW
WE DO
IT
WHAT WE DO
Established in 1952, Rowan Branch is part of the non-profit corporation, Children’s Hospital Branches, Inc. We are a diverse group of hard-working and fun-loving women striving to serve the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.
Rowan Branch is comprised of approximately 20 members who reside primarily in the Alamo and Danville areas of Contra Costa County (but we welcome members who are hospital supporters from all over Contra Costa and Alameda Counties).
All our members are volunteers and we have no paid staff or professional services whatsoever so we can maximize the benefit of our
fundraising efforts.
We are dedicated to raising funds to help support the life-saving work done at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.
We produce fundraising events annually to support
our cause. An afternoon event called a Shopping
Spree where 200-250 women shop our 20+ vendors
who donate 20% of their sales to the hospital and have a silent auction and lunch too! And this year, we will host the 2nd Annual Sips in the City Event, a fun-filled evening extravaganza held at the top of SalesForce tower in San Francisco! A Fund-A-Need (FAN) paddle raise which is held at both events!

OUR IMPACT
Why Support Us?
Who we are, what we do and how we do it are all interesting facts but the most important thing to know about Rowan Branch is why we do what we do, and the impact our fundraising efforts have on enhancing the life saving healthcare the Hospital provides for children.

For nearly 100 years, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland has been delivering exceptional medical care to children from all regions of California. Parents choose Children's Oakland because they have the best trained, most experienced specialists with the status as a leading pediatric medical center and Level 1 Trauma Center for specialized pediatric health care, and a genuine passion to treat every child.
Children's Oakland has always held that no child will be turned away regardless of their family's ability to pay. This promise comes at a high financial cost and the budget can only stretch so far even with the generous support of the Benioff family. There are many departments with programs and lifesaving equipment needs that cannot be met out of hospital funds. Philanthropy is crucial. The fundraising efforts of Rowan Branch and the other branches of Children's Hospital Branches, Inc. help fill the gaps, raising monies for unmet needs.
Phillip's story is just one of the many reasons we work to help UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.

OUR 2020 FUNDRAISING GOALS
Net Proceeds In Excess of
$200,000
For this year’s FUND-A-NEED, we are raising money for NICView Cameras so that families can always be connected to their infant when they cannot be at their bedside. The camera streams video images around the clock on any device with internet access.

A unique login gives families the ability to share the camera with relatives and friends anywhere in the world. This can provide invaluable comfort for families during very stressful times. UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland is the first hospital in the Bay Area to use these cameras.
